How do pay for success and social impact bonds differ?

Colloquially, "pay for success" and "social impact bonds" are used interchangeably to describe innovative social financing. But PFS includes other concepts along a continuum from performance-based contracting to benefit corporations. "Pay for Success" is preferred because the transactions do not perform as a traditional bond structure would predict
